D.I.Y. CHIX Home Sense  Workshop – 

    • Do you know where the services are in your new home? You’ve got the furniture in place and the boxes unpacked, but did you look for the electrical panel or where the main water shut off valve is. How about the sewer clean outs and back flow? In this workshop we will take you step-by-step through the house, and discuss everything you, as a homeowner, should know.
  • Winterize your home.  Old man winter is coming and you need to make sure you house is prepared for the chill of the Winnipeg winter. Fix the air leaks and make sure you are cozy for the season.
    • One on one in the home. The chix will walk through and around your home giving you the hands on experience winterizing your home. Each visit is tailored to the home and home owner.

  • Spring Preparations
    • Winter has gone leaving the clean-up behind. Where to start is always the big question. We’ll take you through the importance of raking the grass to making sure your eaves are clean and in good repair. We will also discuss how to manage your time when tackling these projects.

    • You own our home and now you want to put your mark on it. Let D.I.Y. CHIX take you through the steps to getting started. This includes everything from budgeting to hiring contractors/trades personnel.

Consultations

Why not turn it into a party? Bring a group of friends together, along with their small fix-it job (lamp cords, refinishing, broken chair etc.), and make a day (or evening) of it. You’ll learn as much from each other’s projects as you will from your own.
